As the first distillery in Dufftown, Mortlach prides itself as being a long-time producer of premiere malts. The distillery was founded in 1823 by James Findlater, and has continuously produced official releases and independent bottlings since 1851. Today, Mortlach is under the esteemed Diageo portfolio.
TASTE NOTES
COLOR: Pale yellow gold slightly cloudy
NOSE: Sweet and fruity, pear with vanilla, quite floral. Red fruits with brandy. Sweet notes, smoke, citrus fruits
TASTE: Oily and fruity with very marked pears
FINISH: Quite short and always marked by the fruits with white flesh
