Signatory Releases New 100 U.S. Proof Collection

Signatory is making waves with their newest 100 U.S. Proof Collection, the Scotch whisky version of the 1897 "Bottled in Bond Act" that established quality standards for American whiskey. Produced at a single distillery in Speyside during one distilling season, these whiskys are all aged over 4 years, bottled at 100 proof, and contain 50% ABV.

Highlighting the collection is the Craigellachie 17 Year, a single malt matured in first fill Oloroso Sherry Butts. Craigellachie Distillery was built in 1890 near the confluence of the rivers Spey and Fiddich by Alexander Edward and Peter Mackie, two influential whisky entrepreneurs. Designed by Charles Doig, a renowned distillery architect, Craigellachie was one of the most modern distilleries of its time, built with the express intention of making a lighter, fruitier character than the older distilleries. This Craigellachie 17 Year delivers with fruity and soft characteristics.

Rounding out the collection are a Miltonduff 9 Year, Glentauchers 12 Year, Linkwood 11 Year, and Speyside (M) 13 Year.
